Qurabiye (almond flavoured, crisp bun) with OLYMPOS butter


 – Method –

  • Preheat the oven to 175 ° C in fan mode.
  • Put the butter, the powdered sugar, the vanilla extract, the flower-water into a large bowl.
  • Stir, with a hand whip, very well until the mixture is fluffy and the ingredients are homogenized.
  • Add the flour and the baking powder.
  • Grind the raw almonds in the cooking machine and add them to the bowl.
  • Finally, add the roasted almonds and salt.
  • Mix with hands until the mixture is homogenized.
  • Shape qurabiye about 25 gr. each.
  • Push with your finger to make a puddle in the centre of each qurabiye.
  • Place it in 2 pans with baking paper and bake in the oven for 18-22 minutes.
  • When cooked, leave aside to cool for at least 30 minutes.
  • Finally, sprinkle with rose-water and caster sugar.
