Ham and cheese pie with filo pastry and kasseri cheese



  • Chop the ham and the kasseri cheese into cubes and mix them in a bowl.
  • Melt the butter in a small saucepan and butter a baking ban with a brush.
  • Lay three filo pastries in the baking tray and butter them one by one.
  • Add a little of the ham-kasseri cheese mixture on the filo pastry
  • Lay one more pastry, butter and add again a little of the ham-cheese mixture. We continue the same process until the mixture is finished.
  • In the end it should finish with three buttered pastries.
  • Cut slightly the pie into pieces.
  • Break the eggs in a bowl, add the milk and the remaining melted butter and mix.
  • Pour the egg mixture onto the pie.
  • Bake the pie at 190C for about an hour.
